If you would like to see the directions of the path in the beginning, check the Rubber Band on the track Options (Like it is shown on the left). This, in many cases makes the work with paths much easier, espepically for the unexperienced begginners.

Soft Point: Pull to make the soft point using two simetric holders. Soft point insures that the two segments that are meeting make whole , unseparated path.
Curved Segment: Pull on two different places to make the curved segment between two soft points. |

Straight Segment Behind the Curved Segment: After you've drawn the segment that is curved, press Alt+ the soft point that you've made just before so that you could earase the first handle. This way you will change the soft point in the curved point with one handle. After that click on some other place -spot, so that you could add a straight segment on the end of the curved segment.

Curved Segment Behind the Straight Segment: Since you've drawn the straight segment, pull from the angled point that you've made so that you can add a handle. Then, again on the other spot and there the angled segment will be continued on the one that is straight.

Top Point: After you've drawn the angled segment, press Alt and pull away form the soft point that you've made so that you can redirection the first handle making the soft point in the angled point in the other direction from the curved segment before.
